EDUCATION
I hold a J.D. degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru, and a LL.M. degree from Harvard University. I have concluded post-graduate studies in financial contracting at Universidad Castilla – La Mancha.
EXPERIENCE
I started my career as Chief of Contracts at Telefónica del Perú S.A.A. (1997 – 2000). After working for three years in Lima I moved out to assume a new position at Telefonica Group: Deputy Legal Director at Telefónica Data Corp. (Madrid) (2000).
After some years in the telecom word, I joined (as Experienced Senior Manager) Andersen first (2001 – 2002), and Ernst & Young later (2002 – 2004).
After some years in the Big Four word, I joined (as Partner) Benites Forno & Ugaz Abogados (2004 – 2012), Ferrero Abogados (2012 – 2016) and Lazo & De Romaña Abogados (2016 – 2023).
Right now, besides to advising companies in complex negotiations, I work as an arbitrator as well as a legal expert in both local and international proceedings.

I have participated in the structuring and negotiation of more than 70 local and international loans worth over USD 3,000 million.
Most of the time I have represented local and international banks.

I have participated in more than 30 de debt issuances worth over USD 2,000 million.

I have been involved in the structuring and negotiation of 8 IT outsourcing deals worth over UD 1,200 million.
